Assistant County Attorney, Lamar County, Texas, 1998-2000. Served as chief misdemeanor prosecutor and assisted with felony criminal trials. Also prosecuted juvenile cases.

 

Assistant District Attorney, Victoria County, Texas, 2000-2001. As Chief of the Misdemeanor Section, was responsible for prosecuting misdemeanor, juvenile, and hot check cases, as well as overseeing other misdemeanor prosecutors.

 

Assistant District Attorney, Victoria County, Texas, 2001-2003. Narcotics prosecutor responsible for prosecuting all felony drug and intoxication crimes, as well as overseeing seizures and forfeitures from drug cases.

 

Assistant District Attorney, Victoria County, Texas, 2003. Major felony crimes prosecutor responsible for all murder and capital murder cases. Successfully tried several murder cases to juries in a six-month period.

 

First Assistant District Attorney, Victoria County, Texas, 2003-2004. Responsible for coordinating the prosecution of all criminal and civil cases by the office, as well as overseeing seven prosecutors.
